ALL Crane Gets New Liebherr All Terrain Crane

New Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 All Terrain Crane

Fresh off its debut at CONEXPO, the new Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 all terrain crane is bound for the fleet of the ALL Family of Companies. Designed to be the most roadworthy AT in its class, the brand-new unit showcases an assemblage of features sure to be appreciated across ALL’s North American footprint.

It’s the first five-axle crane worldwide, with a width of just 8 feet 4 inches, an advantage when driving on roads and construction sites. It has nine-ton axle loads for worldwide mobility, delivering major benefits when it comes to obtaining licenses and route permits. Plus, the new ZF TraXon DynamicPerform gear unit helps prevent drift when gear-shifting on inclines.

The Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 also has a maximum capacity of 110 tons and a longer 203-foot telescopic boom for greater reach.

The new AT can carry up to 37,250 pounds of counterweights. At 75 percent of the maximum ballast of 49,600 pounds, this is a new record for mobile cranes worldwide. This allows the new LTM 1100-5.3 to perform most of its jobs as a taxi crane without additional ballast transport.

“The supreme roadability of the new Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 will be a major benefit for our customers,” said Michael L. Liptak, president and CEO of the ALL Family of Companies. “It is highly adaptable to the varying geographies our branches serve and will save customers time and money by not requiring additional road licenses or additional truckloads to transport ballast.”

The unit also continues the next-gen design and cab changes introduced with the Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2, including the new LICCON3 control system. Also, wind speed charts that, when engaged by the operator, automatically adjust to accommodate for wind speeds measured by an on-board gauge, eliminating guesswork and manual calculations.
