Specialized Transport & Hauling
Long Distance Hauling For Hire
We are your transportation specialists when it comes to heavy hauling. We offer the highest quality of service with regard to safety and dependability in local or long-distance hauling. Our Dawes Specialized Transport division (DST) has ICC authority in 48 states, and each one of our local branches has hauling capability at the ready. Founding members of SC&RA (the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association), we have the capabilities to move our equipment (or yours) on time, anywhere in the continental United States.
For some sense of scale, our fleet would make us the country’s fifth-largest trucking company, IF we were a trucking company. We invest heavily in transportation so we can deliver equipment to jobsites on a schedule within our control. We never have to rely on third-party trucking. ALL’s specialized transport divisions have ICC authority in the 48 contiguous U.S. states and throughout Canada.

Heavy Hauling Services Available
We have two Faymonville HighwayMAX heavy-haul trailers in our trucking fleet which are available for rent to fulfill customers' heavy hauling needs. The trailers feature nine hydraulically steered pendle-axles and a legal payload of up to 170,000 pounds (249,000-pound technical payload).
Benefits of using our heavy haul trailers
Larger loads, less trips- Potentially move multiple counterweights in one load instead of multiple standard trailer trips.
- Relocate certain equipment without disassembly instead of breaking down to fit on a standard trailer.
- Use planning software to load test different trailer configurations.
- Each axle steers independently, giving it superior maneuverability vs. straight-in and straight-out trailer paths.
