A new Manitowoc Model 14000 helps erect a conveyor system at a coal power plant. Because of the confined space on the jobsite, the contractor needed a crane that could be set up 80 feet away from the flue gas desulfurization building, yet still reach the top of the 148-foot-tall structure. Enter the 14000. With 282 feet of reach on the main boom (up to 373 feet with the luffing jib) and a 220 USt (200 t) capacity, this was the ideal crane for the job.

Manitowoc 14000
The 14000 has 292 feet of reach on the main boom (up to 462 feet with the luffing jib), a 220-ton capacity, and features the patented Can-Bus and EPIC control system configured with six independent closed-loop hydraulic circuits. The patented FACT connection system reduces set up time and cost.

The ALL Advantage
Qualified field service technicians from ALL branches throughout the country are required to successfully complete the 4 1/2-day CANBUS AOM (Assembly, Operation & Maintenance) course for the 14000 sponsored by Manitowoc Crane CARE. This training is, in part, why we command such a strong share of market in renting crawlers—we demand more from ourselves.
