The Cleveland, Ohio, branch. This is where it all began.

It was 1964 when Michael C. Liptak, Jr. and his brothers, Jake and Larry, first recognized the need for the equipment rental industry. In a flash of entrepreneurial clarity, the Liptak brothers bought themselves a crane and began renting it. The fleet began to grow with cranes and trucks they bought and sold at auctions … and a family business, not to mention a new industry, was born.

Humble first headquarters was a 40-foot trailer next to the railroad tracks in Cleveland, Ohio, alongside the historic Ohio & Erie Canal Corridor.
ALL built their first headquarters building in 1975; same location as trailer.
In 2008, ALL moved to a new, world-class headquarters facility less than three miles away.

Early success meant investing, not spreading out. Brothers built their own service shops before they built new yards, including engine, starter, and alternator shops; hydraulic, weld, and fabrication shops; and glass, truck and trailer, and paint shops.
ALL’s service technicians undergo rigorous mandatory training; results in safer, more reliable equipment. We average 50,000 hours annually in technical service and safety training.

All Crane Rental Corporation was started in its current Columbus, Ohio location in 1982 to service central and southern Ohio, as well as northern Kentucky. To expand our expert crane rental service to an even larger area, including Southeastern Ohio, Northwestern West Virginia and Southwestern Pennsylvania, All Crane Rental Corp opened its branch in Marietta, Ohio in 2000.

All of our crane operators and oilers are members of The International Union of Operating Engineers, Locals 18 and 132. As such, each of our operators and oilers have had to pass through an intensive 4-year union apprenticeship training program before they became full journeymen operators. Training does not stop there as it is an ongoing function requiring numerous annual updates and retraining. Additionally, all of our operators and oilers are certified under the, NCCCO, National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators.

Being a member of the All Crane Family and one of its thirty locations, allows All Crane Rental Corp access to the equipment inventory and support structure of the largest privately held crane rental and sales operation in North America. The inventory consists of the latest models in cranes, manlifts, forklifts and trucks. This offering has allowed us to be the crane and equipment provider for the most prestigious organizations in our coverage area. Our customers include Ohio State University, American Electric Power, Ohio University, Abbott Laboratories, Army Corps of Engineers, Marathon Oil, DuPont, ODOT, Prax Air, PPG, American Centrifuge and so many more.

Service and Safety

All Crane Rental Corp is a true 24/7/365 operation. Neither our office phones nor our cell phones are ever unmanned. Our Service Department also functions 24-hours a day, with factory trained mechanics in fully equipped service trucks and the latest communications for immediate dispatch. We provide expert maintenance and repair, not just for our own equipment, but for the service needs on equipment owned by our customers.

In our industry, nothing is more important than safety. All Crane Rental Corp. considers safety to be the cornerstone of our company. Our corporate safety program comes from the top management and extends through every employee and function of our company. It has always been a corporate policy to not just meet the federal and state regulations of our industry, but to exceed those requirements. All of our equipment contains current annual inspections accomplished by certified technicians and every crane operator and driver have current physical examinations and are subject to annual and random drug testing.
